How we help
We provide quality, professional outpatient treatment for both substance use and mental health issues. Our staff consists of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and Licensed Professional Counselors.
Our program services aim to reduce symptoms, restore functioning, and prevent further functional impairment. We help support recovery and stabilization with the least possible disruption to daily lives. Anyone suffering from substance use or addiction has the right to a quality-of-life enhancing service.
We offer comprehensive, coordinated, and defined services to address a variety of needs. These include situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, and life span issues to enhance self-esteem and strengthen coping abilities and promote emotional change. Additional services provided include, but are not limited to: the needs of victims of abuse, domestic violence, or other trauma. Osage Nation Counseling Center has two nationally-certified, trauma-focused therapists on staff.
Osage Nation Counseling Center is certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) and the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Osage Nation Counseling Center is committed to upholding standards of excellence and continuous improvement. We work closely with many agencies, such as District and Tribal Courts, Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs (OJA), the Department of Human Services (DHS), and Indian Child Welfare (ICW).
SERVICES
Substance Use Treatment
A Substance Use assessment is completed using standardized testing methods. This assessment is completed in a face-to-face interview between the client and a counselor. Based on the confidential results, the counselor will make recommendations and then work with the client to develop a client-centered treatment plan. This may include a combination of individual, group, and/or family counseling, as well as educational groups. We do not provide detox treatment, but we can assist with referral to a detox facility as well as residential treatment. We are dedicated to working with the client to form long-term, lasting solutions.
Mental Health Treatment
A Mental Health assessment is completed using standardized testing methods. This assessment is completed in a face-to-face interview between the client and counselor. Based on these confidential results, the counselor will work with the client to develop a client-centered treatment plan. This may include individual, group, and/or family counseling. We do not provide medication management, but we will assist the client through advocacy with their Primary Care Physician. Our Counselors are dedicated to working with clients and families to help find lasting, holistic health.
Co-occurring Treatment Services
Substance use and mental health issues (such as depression and anxiety) are often intertwined. When both occur in the same person, this is referred to as a co-occurring disorder. Since we provide both substance use and mental health treatment, we are qualified to address co-occurring disorders.
Youth Services
We provide substance use and mental health treatment for the children and adolescents of Osage County. Mental Health treatment is available for children as young as age 3. Our counselors work with Osage Nation Head Start and Immersion schools as well as the public schools in the area. Following the assessment, which is completed with the parent or guardian, most Osage Nation Counseling Center services can be provided at the schools for parental convenience.
Substance Use treatment is available for adolescents ages 12 and up. Parental involvement is encouraged in both. Our services are recognized by DHS, Osage Nation ICW, and OJA.
Drug Court
We contract with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) to provide the treatment portion of the Osage County Drug Court program. Our staff work in conjunction with the Judge to provide a treatment program that strives to rehabilitate and encourage productive futures.
