The Primary Election for the Principal Chief and Assistant Chief offices will be held on Monday, March 10, with voting taking place at the Wah-Zha-Zhe Cultural Center, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early voting will take place at the Osage Nation Election Office, 608 Kihekah, Pawhuska, OK, on March 7th from noon until 8 p.m., and on March 8th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Results will be announced in front of

Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear
Geoffrey Standing Bear is the Principal Chief of the Osage Nation. He is the great- grandson of Osage Principal Chief Fred Lookout. Chief Standing Bear and his wife Julie have four children and eight grandchildren. Now in his second term as Osage Nation Principal Chief, he continues the work of protecting and enhancing the Osage culture, language, and lands.
Osage Nation Principal Chief John D. Red Eagle has been elected to a three-year term as Vice Chair of the United Indian Nations in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas (UNIOKT), an organization formed to pursue the advocacy of law and policy to benefit all Indian nations and indigenous peoples.
