Osage Nation Principal Chief Joe Tillman Announces Executive Leadership Staff

OSAGE NATION RESERVATION, OKLA. (July 15, 2026) - Osage Nation Principal Chief Joe Tillman announces a seasoned leadership team to help advance the priorities of the Osage Nation and deliver on the administration’s vision for the future. The executive leadership staff includes experienced professionals who will serve in key administrative, advisory, and support roles, bringing diverse expertise in governance, communications, public service, and leadership. Together, they will support the administration’s efforts to strengthen government operations, expand opportunities for the Osage people, strengthen partnerships, and uphold the Nation’s sovereignty. These appointments reflect Chief Tillman’s commitment to building a collaborative, effective, and people-focused administration from day one. 

 

The Executive Leadership Staff includes Executive Chief of Staff Andrea MorningStar Kemble, Executive Advisor Faren Anderson, Executive Advisor Ida Doyle, Executive Advisor Cory Lorenzo, Executive Communications and Governmental Affairs Officer Abby Mashunkashey. Matt Gray and Gigi Sieke will serve as executive staff assistants.

 

EXECUTIVE CHIEF OF STAFF | Andrea MorningStar Kemble is a dedicated public servant, lifelong resident of the Zon Zo Li District, and proud member of the Deer Clan of the Osage Nation and the Buffalo Clan of the Ponca Tribe. With more than 23 years of service to the Osage Nation under five administrations, she has led federal and Tribal programs, strategic initiatives, and critical relief efforts during the CARES Act and ARPA response. Kemble holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is pursuing a master's degree in Human Resources Management, combining academic preparation with extensive leadership experience in Tribal government. Grounded in Osage culture, family, and community, she remains committed to strengthening the Osage Nation through integrity, collaboration, and service to future generations.

 

EXECUTIVE ADVISOR | Faren Anderson is an Osage Nation citizen from the Pawhuska District, a graduate of Pawhuska High School and Oklahoma State University, former Miss Indian Oklahoma, former Osage Nation congresswoman, and the great-great-granddaughter of Chief Bacon Rind. Her public service includes work with the Bureau of Land Management, service in the first Osage Nation Congress, advising Principal Chief John D. Red Eagle, and serving on the Osage Nation Bluestem Ranch Board. For more than 22 years, she has co-owned Spurs and Arrows in Pawhuska. She has served in leadership positions with the Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association and the Osage County Historical Society. A landowner and accomplished horse exhibitor, Anderson has earned multiple world championship titles while maintaining a lifelong commitment to her community and the Osage people.

 

EXECUTIVE ADVISOR | Ida C. Doyle, M.H.R., is a proud citizen of the Osage Nation from the Zon Zo Li District and a member of the Sky People of the Eagle Clan who has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing education, workforce development, and Tribal sovereignty. She served as Director of Education for the Osage Nation from 2011–2015, leading educational initiatives, administering Tribal and federal programs, and expanding services for Osage students and families. Since 2016, she has worked with the U.S. Department of the Interior as a Workforce Development Specialist, supporting Tribal nations nationwide through federal workforce, employment, and education programs. Holding degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Doyle remains committed to strengthening Tribal communities, empowering future generations, and advancing Indigenous self-determination.

 

EXECUTIVE ADVISOR | Corinthian "Cory" Lorenzo, a proud citizen of the Osage Nation from the Pawhuska District, has served the Osage Nation for nine years, beginning in 2017 as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Standing Bear administration. He later joined the Osage Nation Attorney General's Office, where he spent six years overseeing the office's daily operations and administration. During his tenure, he helped navigate complex issues in Native American law while supporting the legal work that protects and advances the sovereignty and interests of the Osage Nation. Cory draws on his extensive experience, institutional knowledge, and leadership to support the implementation of Chief Tillman's priorities and advance the long-term success of the Osage Nation.

 

EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS OFFICER | Abby Mashunkashey, Buffalo Clan from the Pawhuska District, is a strategic communications and government affairs executive who advances Tribal sovereignty through public leadership, nation branding, and intergovernmental relations. As Director of Communications for the Osage Nation for five years, she led strategic communications, executive messaging, and brand initiatives that strengthened the Nation's presence and government-to-government relationships at every level. Her work highlights the Osage Nation's achievements while integrating public affairs, media relations, digital strategy, and organizational branding to support sovereign governance and public trust. Holding degrees in Journalism, Broadcasting, and Strategic Communications from Oklahoma State University, Mashunkashey is an Obama Leader award recipient and a previous Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commissioner. She is committed to elevating Indigenous voices, strengthening Tribal sovereignty, and positioning the Osage Nation for continued success.

 

Principal Chief Tillman, Assistant Principal Chief John Shaw, the Office of the Chiefs’ Executive Staff, and Osage Nation Cabinet Secretaries will be located on the second floor of the current Osage Nation Welcome Center at 239 W. 12th St., Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The relocation is intended to increase accessibility, strengthen coordination among executive leadership, and foster greater collaboration across the Executive Branch. Guided by a shared commitment to sovereignty, accountability, and service, the administration is focused on ensuring a prosperous future for generations of Osage citizens.
