Osage Nation Inauguration Planning Committee Announces 2022 Inauguration Ceremony

Event and luncheon to be held at Skyline Event Center, Osage Casino - Tulsa on July 9, 2022 

The 2022 Inauguration Ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2022, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Skyline Event Center. The Skyline Event Center is located at the Osage Casino & Hotel at 951 West 36th St N, Tulsa, OK. 

During the Inauguration Ceremony, officials elected to office during the June 6, 2022, Osage Nation General Election within the Judicial, Executive and Legislative branches will take their oaths of office. In addition, the newly elected Minerals Council will participate in a presentation of honor. 

Those elected in the June 6, 2022, General Election include: 

Judicial Branch

Members of American Legion Post 198 will present the colors and Scott George will lead Osage singers throughout the ceremony. Archie Mason will serve as master of ceremonies with an invocation by Dr. Herman Mogri Lookout and Daposka Ahnkodapi students. Dr. Jean Dennison is the ceremony’s special guest speaker and musician Nokosee Fields will perform a musical selection. Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear will conclude the ceremony with an inaugural address. All attendees are invited to a luncheon immediately following the address. 

Due to an increase in positive COVID-19 cases among the Wahzhazhe community, the committee encourages all attendees to follow guidelines set forth by the Wahzhazhe Health Center. If you are feeling sick and/or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home and get tested. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available on site. Please do your part to keep our community safe, especially our most vulnerable.
