March 2023 Provider Spotlights include Stephane Adame, APRN-CNP and Joann Simpson, APRN-BC

OSAGE NATION SERVICE AREA (March 8, 2023) - The Osage Nation Health System (ONHS) launches a ‘Provider Spotlight Series’ that highlights and introduces providers to new and existing ONHS patients. The series aims to strengthen relationships between providers and patients, which can positively increase patient health and likelihood to continue healthcare. 

The March 2023 providers are Stephane Adame, APRN-CNP and Joann Simpson, APRN-BC.

About Stephanie Adame, APRN-CNP: Stephanie Adame is a certified family nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in nursing. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri and Bachelor of Science in nursing at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. She received honors during her master’s degree and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau for academics. She completed her preceptorship in primary care and women’s health at Ascension St. John. Previously, Stephanie worked for Oklahoma Cancer Specialist and Research Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma specializing in gynecologic oncology. She has several areas of expertise as a registered nurse including oncology, nephrology, obstetrics, medical surgical and clinical instructor at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma.

About Joann Simpson, APRN-BC: Joann Simpson completed a Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner at Fort Hays State University in 1996. She practiced in Iowa for 14 years in Rural Health Clinics specializing in internal medicine. For the past 12 years, she has practiced in Oklahoma in Family Medicine and Urgent after Hours Care. Her career continues to be focused on providing care to patients across their lifespans. During her time as an RN, she worked as a Nurse Educator training LPNs, certified nurse aides, and certified medication aides.  She also functioned as a Certified Nurse Administrator as Director of Nursing at a Psychiatric Mental Hospital and also a Long Term Care Facility. She also has experience in Home Health, Long Term Care, Substance Abuse Treatment, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Operating rooms. Joann is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

 

 

The ONHS Provider Spotlight Series will continue on a monthly basis highlighting providers throughout ONHS. ONHS includes the Wahzhazhe Health Center (Primary Care, Dental, Optometry, Behavioral Health, Contract Health/Purchase Referred Care, Pharmacy Services), Crisis Counseling Services, Prevention Programs, Community Health, Public Health Nursing, Primary Residential Treatment Centers and Elder Nutrition Services (Title VI).
