Osage Nation Child Support Services Focuses on Uplifting Families

Press Release
ONCSS Outreach Poster Contest

Calling on community to participate in poster contest highlighting positive effects of child support

OSAGE NATION SERVICE AREA, Okla.. (February 10, 2023) - The Osage Nation Child Support Services (ONCSS) is on a mission to remove the stigma that comes with child support and highlight the ways child support helps families.

Osage Nation strives to improve the welfare of children by strengthening family responsibility and values, while ensuring cultural and community integrity. Children are the most vital resource to the continued existence and integrity of the Osage Nation and other Native American nations.

“Child support is all about making the life of a child as secure as possible and that is always a good thing,” said ONCSS Director Michael Kidder. “I am proud of the work our team does to uplift families throughout Osage Nation.”

ONCSS works in collaboration with federal, state and tribal agencies to improve the welfare of children residing within the Osage Nation jurisdiction through the establishment of paternity and/or child support order, modification of child support order, and the enforcement of a child support order.
