Millions of grandparents have returned to the role of parent. They have stepped in to breach the gap by raising their grandchildren. The stress that grandparents have as repeat parents is quite different from the routine kinds of stress accompanying raising children. Grandparents recognize the critical role they are expected to play in the reparenting of their grandchildren. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is a program designed to provide grandparents with valuable information in a supportive and caring environment. The program is custom-designed to meet the special needs of the program participants. It has made a difference in the lives of many grandparents and their grandchildren.
The program is open to the public and is provided free as a service of the OSU Extension Center and the Osage Nation. For more information please contact the Financial Assistance Department at 918-287-5325.
