Storm Spotter Training

Weather Service relies on trained volunteers to supplement doppler radar information on severe storms and tornadoes. These dedicated individuals volunteer many hours of their time to learn about and detect severe weather. Their valuable cooperation is important in the warning process. Weather reports from trained spotters are being used along with dopperler radar data to issue warning of tornadoes

Storm Spotter Training will be held at the Osage County Fairgrounds Building at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020. The address is 320 Skyline Drive, Pawhuska, OK 74056. This training will be taught by National Weather Service staff and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. This training is sponsored by Osage Nation Emergency Management and the Osage County Emergency

Summer College Visits 2015
College, university, and technical school visits are scheduled for Osage students in 7th-12th grades. This is an opportunity for Osage youth to obtain knowledge and information vital to planning for higher education. Information regarding the different types of higher education requirements and financial planning will be provided. Students who attend throughout the week are able to accrue points
