Abby Mashunkashey, Buffalo Clan from the Pawhuska District, is a strategic communications and government affairs executive who advances Tribal sovereignty through public leadership, nation branding, and intergovernmental relations. As Director of Communications for the Osage Nation for five years, she led strategic communications, executive messaging, and brand initiatives that strengthened the Nation's presence and government-to-government relationships at every level. Her work highlights the Osage Nation's achievements while integrating public affairs, media relations, digital strategy, and organizational branding to support sovereign governance and public trust. Holding degrees in Journalism, Broadcasting, and Strategic Communications from Oklahoma State University, Mashunkashey is an Obama Leader award recipient and a previous Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commissioner. She is committed to elevating Indigenous voices, strengthening Tribal sovereignty, and positioning the Osage Nation for continued success.
