Fairfax Senior Housing Project Construction Nears Completion, Waitlist is Open

OSAGE RESERVATION, OKLA. (June 13, 2022) – As the summer temperatures rise, elders living in Pawhuska Senior Housing will have brand new HVAC units and clean ducts to keep them comfortable. A total of 28 housing units received the upgrades which were complete at the end of May 2022.

“They did a great job with both the duct cleaning and the new a/c units,” said Elder Housing Florence Bigheart Tranum who lives in Senior Housing. “I love our housing and we’re just so lucky to have it.”

ARPA funds were used for these improvements as a COVID reduction measure allowable under the U.S. Treasury Department’s Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Final Rule.

Osage Nation Task Force Representative Celena Noear has led the ARPA HVAC Projects and is excited to see this portion come to completion.

“Taking care of our elders is a top priority at Osage Nation,” said Noear. “Being able to improve their health and quality of life is an honor. I’m proud and thankful for all those who contributed.”

Osage Nation Construction Manager Brandon Wallace led Osage vendor Prairie Heating and Cooling, LLC throughout the project’s completion. Housing Director Sheridan Pickering also notes that Fairfax Senior Housing project construction is nearing completion. If interested in being placed on a waitlist for the Fairfax Senior Housing, please contact the Housing Department at (918) 287-5310 for more information.
