OSAGE NATION RESERVATION, OKLA. (July 18, 2025 ) - The Osage Nation Financial Assistance Program administers two utility assistance programs for Osages and members of a federally recognized tribe residing on the Osage Nation Reservation (Osage County): the Osage Nation Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Osage Nation Utility Assistance Program. Please review the requirements and frequently asked questions below to see which one is right for you.
OSAGE NATION LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP)
REQUIREMENTS:
- A resident of Osage County/ Osage Nation Reservation, and
- At least one household member is a member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, and
- Household net income qualifies under 60% of the State Median Income amount for Oklahoma, and
- Complete and submit an application
OSAGE NATION UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- A resident of Osage County/Osage Nation Reservation, and
- Osage Nation member responsible for utility bills, and
- Complete and submit an application
*There is no low-income requirement for the Osage Nation Utility Assistance Program

- Is the Utility Assistance Program for all Osages regardless of income? Yes.
- Is the LIHEAP Program only for folks under 60% of Oklahoma's State Median Income? Yes.
- Can eligible applicants apply for both? No. Applicants can ONLY apply for one program.
- Are both programs only for residents of the Osage Nation Reservation/Osage County? Yes.
- Is the LIHEAP Program available to all Native Americans residing in Osage County/ Osage Nation Reservation? Yes.
- Is the Utility Assistance Program for all Osages residing in Osage County/ Osage Nation Reservation (who do not qualify for the LIHEAP Program)? Yes.
