Osage Nation Health System Honors Outstanding Employees at Monthly Town Hall
RN Case Manager Julia Weigant selected as the 2022 Health System Employee of the Year
OSAGE NATION SERVICE AREA, Okla. (February 23, 2023) - The Osage Nation Health System holds monthly Town Hall Meetings the last Wednesday of every month. The meeting is mandatory for all Health System staff. Staff members receive updates, various training, general announcements, healthcare compliance and quality topics, along with time for questions and answers with Health System leadership. In addition, the new Health System celebrates outstanding employees by selecting an Employee of the Month, Special Leadership Awards, and Unsung Hero Awards. The workforce collectively votes for the Special Leadership and Unsung Heroes Awards, while the department managers and administration select the Employee of the Month.
“Recognizing our outstanding employees is of paramount importance to the employees, organization, and the Nation,” stated Osage Nation Health System CEO Mark Rogers. Rogers further remarked: “In recognizing our extremely dedicated and valuable employees, we let them know they are appreciated for all the hard work and extra effort they do in meeting our standards of superior customer service. Healthcare and patient care is a tough place for customer service, and people who are ill, don’t feel good, or are worried about a family member’s health, do not need anything but a compassionate care experience and understanding; we are moving the internal and external customer service bar to a new level of expectation. Our awards program is an important part of this effort in celebrating the incredibly talented workforce we enjoy here at the Osage Nation Health System.”
The February awardees are Employee of the Month: Joann Simpson, Special Leadership: Ashton Bowman, and Unsung Hero: Ashton Bowman. In addition to the monthly awards, the 2022 Employee of the Year was voted on by the entire Health System via Survey Monkey and announced at the February Town Hall. The 2022 Employee of the Year honors went to Osage Nation RN Case Manager Julia Weigant.
The Osage Nation Health System includes the Wahzhazhe Health Center (Primary Care, Dental, Optometry, Behavioral Health, Contract Health/Purchase Referred Care, Pharmacy Services), Crisis Counseling Services, Prevention Programs, Community Health, Public Health Nursing, Primary Residential Treatment Centers and Elder Nutrition Services (Title VI). The Wahzhazhe Health Center is located at 715 Grandview Ave. in Pawhuska, Okla.
