Osage Nation Education Department Announces 2026 STAR Scholarship for High-Achieving Students

STAR Scholarship

The Osage Nation Education Department is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Summertime Achievement Reward (STAR) Scholarship for the upcoming summer season. This opportunity supports Osage Nation students who demonstrate academic excellence and plan to attend summer camps designed for high achievers.

The STAR Scholarship is available to legally enrolled members of the Osage Nation who will attend seventh through eleventh grade (7th–11th) in the next academic school year and are identified by school records as accelerated learners, gifted and talented, or academic achievers with excellent potential.

Eligible students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale from their most recent term and attend camps or trainings that occur during June through August. Programs can be academic, arts, science, athletic, music, or pre-college in focus, and must be offered through accredited, certified, or licensed organizations.

Award amounts will be based on available funds and divided equally among approved applicants, with awards not to exceed $1,000 per student. STAR Scholarship funds may be used only for tuition costs directly related to attending the camp or training; transportation, supplies, equipment, or other fees are not covered.

The deadline to submit a complete STAR application is May 1st. Applicants must provide current academic records, proof of Osage Nation membership, and details from the camp or training they plan to attend.
