Osage Nation Announces 2024 Multi-Day Sovereignty Celebration and Dance
OSAGE NATION RESERVATION, OKLA. (February 27, 2024) – The Osage Nation announces preparations for a multi-day 2024 Sovereignty Celebration and Dance. The schedule of events includes an Osage Nation Health System Sovereignty Fun Walk / Run, Culture & Language Sovereignty Hand Game + Supper, 2229 Allottee Exhibit Reception, Oscar Watch Party, and Sovereignty Celebration Dance spanning the weekends of Saturday, March 9, 2024 to Saturday, March 16, 2024.
This annual celebration honors the Osage Nation Constitution ratification on March 11, 2006. The 2024 Sovereignty Day Celebration Committee includes Andrea Kemble, Jane Perrier, Tim Lookout, and Avis Ballard. All community members are invited to join all or any of the events.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9, 2024
10 A.M.: Osage Nation Fitness Center Sovereignty Fun Walk / Run
Location: Start at the Osage Nation Veterans Memorial next to the Osage Nation Museum
- The run will be throughout the Osage Nation campus with both a 5-K and 1-mile fun run/walk
- Pull-up bar to do a pull-up/hang challenge
- Free Sovereignty T-shirts for the first 50 participants
- Door Prize Drawings
- Medals for the top three placers in five different age categories for males and females
- Guest Speaker: Kirk Shaw
- Free and open to the public
2 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.: Osage Nation Culture & Language Sovereignty Hand Game + Supper
Location: Wakon Iron Hall
Supper begins at 5:30 p.m.
