Osage Nation Announces 2023 Sovereignty Day Celebration and Dance

Celebration to take place on Saturday, March 11 at Ag Building, Osage County Fairgrounds

OSAGE NATION SERVICE AREA, Okla.. (February 9, 2023) - The Osage Nation (ON) announces preparations for the 2023 ON Sovereignty Day Celebration and Dance. The celebration will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the Ag Building located at the Osage County Fairgrounds in Pawhuska, Okla. The celebration began as a response to the Osage Nation Constitution ratification on March 11, 2006 and honors our Nation’s sovereignty. The 2023 Sovereignty Day Celebration Committee consists of Andrea Kemble, Jane Perrier, Tim Lookout, and Avis Ballard. 

All community members are invited to join the celebration. The day will begin with a gourd dance at 2 p.m., a community supper at 5 p.m., and grand entry at 7 p.m..

2:00 p.m.: Gourd Dance 
5:00 p.m.: Supper 
7:00 p.m.: Grand Entry
