Pawhuska, Okla., (Friday, January 26, 2018)— Last week, the Osage Nation launched an online registration form for Osage veteran names and information. The names will be added to the first-ever Osage Nation Veterans Memorial that is scheduled to break ground and have a ribbon cutting later this year.
Osage veterans and the families of Osage veterans are encouraged to register to have their name or a veteran family members name added to the memorial.
The Osage Nation Veterans Memorial Commission is leading the memorial project and is comprised of four Osage veterans and one Osage War Mother. The four Osage veterans are Alfred McKinley, Richard Luttrell, John Henry Mashunkashey, and CMSGT (Ret.) Richard Perrier. The one Osage War Mother is Frances West-Williams. A bio of each commission member is available on the Nations website.
