PAWHUSKA, Okla. (December 3, 2015) — Each year, the Osage Nation Financial Assistance Department’s (ONFAD) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program hosts a Christmas tree loaded with the Christmas wishes of children in need from the Osage Reservation.

“We are seeking good hearted sponsors of these ornament wish lists, as our goal is for every child to receive a Christmas gift,” said Jodie Revard, Financial Assistance Director.

The opportunity to donate to a child in need is open to the public.

The Zhan.Wah.Nee.Thay (tree of gifts) is filled with ornaments that list TANF children’s Christmas wishes.

If you would like to donate, visit the ONFAD office located in the new Wah.Zha.Zhi O-Ki-Ki-Eh Tsi (Osage Nation Welcome Center) at 239 W. 12th Pawhuska, Okla., or contact the office at 918.287.5325 to select a tree ornament. All gifts must be placed under the tree by Dec. 14.

Donations of gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, tape, and gift tags are also needed and should be delivered to ONFAD by Dec. 14.

ONFAD will be wrapping gifts on Dec.16 and 17 and delivering on the Dec. 18. If you want to volunteer to help, please call the office.

Happy Holidays from the Financial Assistance staff!
