Return to Traditional Osage Foods

The goal of teaching people better nutrition through growing, gathering and hunting for food for the family is a part of the traditions of the Osage.  Growing, gathering and hunting for food were the common methods to provide nutrition in days past.  Osage Nation has been awarded the “Good Health & Wellness in Indian Country” grant from Southern Plains Tribal Health Board to help continue those traditions.

Osage language app release encourages efforts for more technology for more access to Osage language ​

Mountain View, California, (Thursday, November 2, 2017)Osage Language Master Language Teacher Mongrain Lookout met with tech engineers in late October to talk about the revitalization of the Osage language for Osages everywhere. According to Lookout and the Osage Language Department Webmaster Mark Pearson, strides gained by other non-English languages are helping the Osage language move faster towards full mobile access.
