Alice Goodfox

Alice Goodfox was born in Pawnee, OK and raised primarily in Hominy, OK.  After graduating high-school in Hominy (Go Bucks) she attended St. Gregory’s College in Shawnee, OK where she was a college cheerleader.  She moved to the Washington D.C. area shortly after earning her Associate degree and attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Bachelor degree.  Upon graduation she was employed as a government contractor and became a certified focus group moderator.  In 2004 she returned home to Hominy, OK to raise her son Joseph Goodfox Jr. and started working on her Masters in HR at the University of Oklahoma.  Upon earning her Masters in HR she was employed at the Osage Casino in the Human Resources Dept.  She was elected to the 2nd Osage Nation Congress in 2010 and reelected to the 4th Osage Nation Congress in 2014.  During her time on the Osage Congress she has been on the following committees: Education, Rules & Ethics, Culture (Vice Chair), Commerce & Economic Development (Chair), Health & Social Services (Vice Chair), Membership, Governmental Operations (Chair), Congressional Affairs (Chair). She has also served as the 2nd Speaker for the Osage Nation Congress for two years. 

She is the daughter of Rosa-Raye Hill Pledger, granddaughter of Marguerite Matin Waller (of Hominy) and Raymond Hill (of Pawhusa), great granddaughter of Rose Neal Hill (original allottee) of Pawhuska, great-granddaughter of Walter and Helen (Pratt) Matin of Hominy (both original allottees) and great-great-granddaughter of Henry and Josephine (Chouteau) Pratt (both original allottees).  She is sister to Timothy Goodfox and proud Mama to my Elompah Joseph Goodfox, Jr.

Congresswoman Goodfox is a Committee Cook for the Zon-Zo-Li District and member of the Native American church, as well as  a Klash-Kah-She Club member.
