INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR OSAGE STUDENTS

During summer of 2017, Tallgrass Construction Services (TCS) and Tallgrass Technology Services (TTS), are offering internship positions to qualified Osage tribal members who have completed their sophomore year or higher of undergraduate study in related degree programs, or graduate students in related degree programs.

  • Internships follow the standard guidelines of the Osage Nation Education Department.
  • Internships last 12 weeks, starting late May or early June (not to exceed 500 hours).
  • Interns will work at the Tallgrass corporate office, located at 4500 S. 129th E. Ave., Suite 105, Tulsa, OK 74134.
  • Interns will be required to complete the Osage Nation Internship Orientation Program located in Pawhuska, OK to include an introduction to the Osage Nation, cultural programs, and related topics.

Degree Programs:

  • Tallgrass Construction Services
    • TCS seeks Osage students studying Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Structural).
    • Other students in a field of study related to construction, even if that degree program is not specifically named here, are encouraged to apply.
    • Expected Responsibilities:
      • Assist on current design-build construction and construction management projects underway at TCS.
      • Learn all aspects of bidding and performing on construction projects, specifically related to government contracting; assist with research bid prospects and responding to bid proposals and related correspondence.
      • Participate in business development activities related to construction projects.
      • Participate in regular business activities and meetings of the company.
      • Interns at TCS may spend a portion of time at the Tallgrass construction office at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, as needed.

  • Tallgrass Technology Services
    • TTS seeks Osage students studying Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or Sales & Marketing degree programs.
    • Other students in a field of study related to technology or business, even if that degree program is not specifically named here, are encouraged to apply.
    • Expected Responsibilities:
      • Assist on current technology services projects underway or in planning stages at TTS.
      • Learn all aspects of bidding and performing on technology services projects, specifically related to government contracting; assist with research bid prospects and responding to bid proposals and related correspondence.
      • Participate in business development activities related to technology, cybersecurity, and related projects.
      • Participate in regular business activities and meetings of the company.
      • Interns at TTS may spend a portion of time at the Data3 Tier-3 Data Center at CityPlex Towers, Tulsa, OK, as needed.
